The Jordan pass is a package that combines the tourist Jordan visa fee with a pass that will give you entrance to over 40 attractions in Jordan. The Jordan Ministry of Tourism took the initiative and tailor made this pass so travelers can smoothly explore the Kingdom of Jordan.
Why should you buy a Jordan pass?
With Petra as main attraction, you will find a lot of like minded travelers that visit Jordan. The results is a big queue at the ticket desk. With the Jordan Pass you don’t have to wait in line. So it doesn’t only save you money but also saves you a lot of time.
The Petra entrance fee for one day will cost you 50 JOD and the costs of a tourism visa will add another 40 JOD. So bottom line, you can save money and time which makes it way more fun to explore Jordan.

Tip: When visiting Petra more than one day, keep in mind that it has to be consecutive.
How to get the jordan pass
There is only one way to get the Jordan Pass. For all the information on getting a Jordan Pass you have to go to the official website. Keep in mind that it is only possible to buy one if you have a credit card. After you bought your Jordan Pass it is valid for use until 12 months after date of purchase. Two weeks after your Jordan Pass is scanned first, your pass will automatically expire.
Tip: When we purchased our Jordan Pass we had some issues with paying on our mobile web browser. After trying several browsers we managed to get our passes.
